BuzzMem is a Mac menu bar utility made by YClab. We care about your privacy, so BuzzMem is built on one simple rule: we don't collect any data.
We don't collect any data
BuzzMem does not collect, upload, share, or sell any of your personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics or tracking tools, and the app never connects to our servers.
Data that stays on your Mac
To work properly, BuzzMem keeps the following on your Mac. This information stays on your computer and is never sent anywhere:
Your settings, such as language, appearance, keyboard shortcut, open at login, and notifications.
Memory pressure history for a recent period, used to draw the "Past hour" chart.
Folder permission for the Caches folder you allowed when using "Clean caches," so you aren't asked again.
Tip count, shown on the tip page.
When you delete BuzzMem, this data is deleted too.
File access
Clean caches only reads and cleans the Library/Caches folder you allowed. It never touches your documents, photos, or other files.
Find large files only scans the folder you choose. Files are moved to the Trash only after you confirm, never deleted permanently.
Tips (in-app purchases)
Tips are paid through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment. We never see your payment details and don't receive your personal information. Tips don't unlock any features. For how Apple handles your data, see Apple's Privacy Policy.
Notifications
BuzzMem shows notifications on your Mac when memory is running low or it's been a long time since your last restart. They're created on your Mac and never go through any server. You can turn them off anytime in the app or in System Settings.
Children's privacy
BuzzMem doesn't collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
